About Danielle Shaw Web Design
Web Developer and Senior Technical Editor with 20 years of dedicated experience.
In college during the internet's childhood, I taught myself my first coding language, HTML. Since then, I've been designing websites of all shapes and sizes all while staying up on the newest trends and solutions in the field. I'm considered a WordPress guru and I work primarily with the CMS platform these days, due to customer demand.
Tools and languages I consistently work with include: HTML/CSS, Joomla, WordPress, CMS applications, PHP, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, components, and plug-ins.
Additionally, I have worked as both a Technical Editor and QA Engineer for the Quality Assurance department at Course Technology, one of the largest computer textbook publishers, since 2001. I have tested and tech edited textbooks, e-books, and digital content covering all of the major application software, operating systems, and internet technology through the years. My position and our department has naturally evolved from standard quality assurance to editing, testing, and authoring digital content due to the fluid needs the industry. Through the years, I have worn many hats, including QA Tester, QA Engineer, Tech Editor, and Technical Writer. The majority of my work since 2010 is in Technical Editing.
I relish in tracking down solutions to problems and I am proud of my strength; learning and quickly applying new technology on the fly in pressure situations. I pay close attention to detail and have a genuine talent for finding errors while troubleshooting and documenting the solution.
The marriage of my extensive Quality Assurance background paired with my technology passions keeps me on the forefront of the industry, especially with applications and software. I have the fortunate opportunity to work on beta software, learning and testing applications before they are released to the public.
